Nick Watney, who was a walk-on at Fresno State, won his first PGA tourney. After eagling the 13th to go up by three strokes, final round leader John Rollins played shaky down the stretch, suffering 2 costly bogeys. Meanwhile, Nick Watney got really lucky with a monster putt, side-winder from the fringe that changed the entire complexion of the tournament on 16. Watney tied Rollins, who bogeyed the hole, and on 18, Watney birdied for the win.
You couldn't tell Rollins had won twice before, given his shaky play down the stretch, although he has lost about 40 pounds since his old days.
