Seth Thornton fits the definition of an amateur golfer. Raising a family and serving as a youth minister make it difficult for him to find time to play golf. When he does, he's pretty good. Thornton won last year's Men's Greater Houston City Amateur Championship, then finished fifth in this year's tournament at Memorial Park, which ended Sunday.
